Mason Chad
It is hard to believe Mason is almost 7 months. It is amazing how much he has changed in the past few months. Mason had his six month appointment a few weeks ago. He weighed 18 pounds 11 ounces and was 27 1/4 inches long. Two weeks prior to his 6 month check-up, he spent several days visiting the doctor. He started off with a stomach virus...vomitting and diarrhea for 6 1/2 days...it was AWFUL. We felt so sorry for the little guy. He finally got over that and then got a cold...coughing, congestion and a runny nose. From that he got pink eye which lasted a few days. He finally seems to be over it all (We HOPE).
Most recently (a couple of weeks ago) he started saying "ma-ma"...what an amazing sound! Just a few days ago he started saying "da-da"...it just melts your heart to hear him talk!
He has been trying to crawl for the past month. He gets up on all fours and then rocks back and forth and kind of lunges himself forward! It is so cute to watch. Today, June 18, we put him on the floor with one of his new toys and he started crawling towards it. We watched in amazement. It is incredible how one day can make such a difference. We TRY to feed him baby food 3 times a day. We give him rice cereal or oatmeal in the morning, a fruit in the afternoon and a vegetable with cereal in the evening. Somedays are better than others when it comes to eating. He LOVES his bottle but is not much into the baby food. Tonight, on the other hand, he was LOVING his dinner...garden vegetables and rice cereal!!! Check out the last few pictures.
